4/10/2020 Easter Greetings from Calvary Trustees

Dear Members and Friends of Calvary Baptist Church of Clifton,

I hope and pray you are all healthy and safe as we all go through this difficult time.

As you know, the social distancing and stay at home orders prevent us from meeting in person to celebrate this holy week.

However, this does not stop us from meeting and worshiping from our respective homes via the internet.

Pastor Manuel and Miriam have setup live broadcasts from their home via Facebook.

The first broadcast was this past Sunday for Morning Worship Service and another broadcast was yesterday evening for Maundy Thursday service.

More live broadcasts are scheduled for Good Friday 4/10 and Easter Sunday 4/12.

Tonight we will attempt to use ZOOM video conferencing for the first time to have some social interaction before and after the Good Friday Service.

If all goes well we will do the same for Easter Sunday.

If you would like to join the ZOOM fellowship you will need to install the ZOOM app.  It's not necessary to create a ZOOM account, but you can if you want.  Please email me for a link to the ZOOM meeting at david.merkooloff@CalvaryOfClifton.org. We will fellowship via ZOOM for approximately 30 minutes prior to the service and again for 30 minutes after the service. The ZOOM meeting will be closed during the Facebook Live service broadcast.

To view the online worship services you can watch via Facebook (requires a Facebook account) or you can watch on the church homepage www.CalvaryOfClifton.org (no account required).

Please visit the Church Website often for information related to church Live Broadcasts, Online Giving, and Messages from the Pastor.

It's also critical that we maintain our giving to the church through these times.  There are three main ways to give during the COVID lockdown:

  1.  Online:  We have partnered with Tithe.ly a respected and secure donation processor made for churches and ministries.  You can give online using credit card, debit card, or checking account.  Please use the link below for giving your tithes and offerings to Calvary. https://tithe.ly/give?c=1324617

  2. Mail: If you prefer to write out a check, you can mail it to Calvary at: 462 Lexington Ave, Clifton, NJ  07011.

  3. Drop-off: If you prefer to give cash, please do not send via mail.  You may drop off the cash donation in the church mail slot.

If you need any technical assistance I am certainly willing to help however I can, please email me at david.merkooloff@CalvaryOfClifton.org.

Again, I hope this message finds you all well and I look forward to seeing you all later tonight on ZOOM and the Facebook live chat.

Sincerely,

   David Merkooloff

   Church Trustee and Treasurer
